| Posted 1 day ago | Dear Valued Customers, As some of you may have noticed, installing applications, running updates, and similar actions on your seedbox have been experiencing errors or delays over the past few days. We want to assure you that this is not an issue with Seedit4.me's infrastructure. What is happening? Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu Linux which powers all of our seedboxes, are currently under a sustained cross-border cyberattack. This attack has taken down their PPA package repositories which are required during the installation and update process. As a result, installs and updates are hanging or failing while trying to reach these repositories. Canonical are actively working to resolve the situation, however there is currently no confirmed ETA for full restoration of their services. What should you do? If you have any installs or updates currently stuck or in progress, please leave them as they are. Do not cancel, reboot your seedbox, or attempt to restart the process — doing so could cause further issues. We are monitoring all servers every few hours and will manually resolve any boxes that remain stuck for an extended period. What are we doing? Once Canonical's repositories are back online we will be cloning the affected PPA repositories to our own servers. This means we will host our own local copy going forward, so that any future disruption to Canonical's infrastructure will have no impact on your seedbox whatsoever. Status Pages
