Blackhole usage explained
2021-03-04 21:02:03
A lot of our apps use an option to automatically grab torrents via a black hole. A black hole in these terms means a folder that is being watched by either Deluge or rutorrent, and once it detects a *.torrent file in there it automatically adds it to the queue and downloads it. The *.torrent file is being put there by any of the applications you configure.
Usually the only thing you have to input into the application that is putting *.torrent files into the black hole folder is the correct directory.
- For rUtorrent the black hole (or watch dir) is enabled by default and is located here: /home/seedit4me/rwatch/
- For Deluge you need to first tick the box [Autoadd .torrent files from:] after the default path is: /home/seedit4me/dwatch/
For either clients you can choose to alter the path if you wish to do so.
