Plex does not load on my Browser but works on incognito mode
This issue is caused by your browser caching old PLEX settings. To solve it you can follow the steps below (we use Chrome for this example):
- Fully shutdown chrome (right click your tray icon -> exit)
- Find the location of your Chrome profile (This can also be accomplished by visiting the URI chrome://version and checking for the “Profile Path:”)
- Rename or move the profile folder somewhere else, outside of the current folder (or delete it if you really don’t care about having a backup)
- Open Chrome and complete the initial setup.
And that’s it! If you have sync setup, it will automatically restore all synced content.
My plex is freezing on playback
This can be related to a few things. For example: the speed of your internet connection at home. If, for example, you're trying to watch a 4k movie but the bitrate is higher than your internet connection it will keep buffering. You can set PLEX to transcode / downgrade the stream in this case, but doing so might affect performance in itself as well. This is not something we can solve for you, and you can resort to downloading lower bitrate or 1080p/720p files.
Another reason could be the transcoding itself. The CPU's aren't made for transcoding, and doing so (depending on the file your are watching) could lead to stuttering. You can check out these plex guide related to transcoding:

You also need to make sure your using direct streaming. We have a video guide for you about that:
